By default, the Basic Searchable Fields are Name in English, Name in Chinese and Year Admitted to Wah Yan as per the School's Registration Records. You can find all Wahyanites ever admitted to Wah Yan using one or more of these fields.

However, you are encouraged to submit more info about yourself to the database so that:
1. Others may search for you more accurately through the extra fields: Year of F.5 Graduation, Location and Profession.
- Example A: Through Profession + Location, one can retrieve a list of all the Wahyanite doctors in Los Angeles.
- Example B: Through Year of F.5 Graduation + Location, one can find out who from the class of '85 are currently living in Toronto.
2. Others may access more info about you and the message you post in the Message box.
- Example C: You can upload your email address and fax number through which your friends can contact you.
- Example D: You can announce your change of addresses or jobs, a marriage, a birth or a death.
- Example E: You can use the message box to sell your car or your professional services.

It's easy to Submit Additional Info for the FIRST TIME: Click SEARCH above, find your own name and click the 'I wish to add details' box next to it.

After your additional info has been accepted for publishing, you will be notified by email if you have provided one and you can change or delete  your own info instantly by accessing it through EDIT INFO above.

Q: How do I add more info under my name for the first time?
A: Follow these steps: (1) click SEARCH above, (2) find your own name, (3) click "I wish to add details" box next to your name, (4) create your own Login Name and Password as guided, (5) input your data, and, (6) Click Submit button.
Your info will be uploaded to the search engine as soon as approval is obtained from the PSA.

Q: Can I edit or delete the info I have added?
A: Yes, you can edit or delete your own info instantly by clicking EDIT INFO and using the password you have created the first time you uploaded your info.

Q: What can be searched?
A: One or more of the following 6 fields can be searched:
- Name in English (one or more words as per Wah Yan's Registration Records)
- Name in Chinese (all words as per Wah Yan's Registration Records)
- Year admitted to Wah Yan (4 digits as per Wah Yan's Registration Records)
- Year of F.5 Graduation (4 digits. Searchable only when this info has been added by user himself).
- Location (Searchable only when this info has been added by user himself).
- Profession (Searchable only when this info has been added by user himself).

Q: What will happen if I misspell a word or enter a word not on Wah Yan's Registraion Record?
A: The search will be VOID.

Q: Is this search engine bilingual?
A: Yes, you can post or search in English or Big5 Chinese (except for user name and password which accept English and numbers only).

Q: Is this search engine case sensitive?
A: No, you can use either upper or lower case to search.
